Her parents were Ellie and Dave, a young couple who fell in love over a leaf, and she had a happy, normal childhood with them. She liked science kits and Sunday School and travel books, which Ellie read to her every night, instilling a lifelong wanderlust in her daughter. Clara always said she would go traveling after college, but in 2005 her plans were put on hold when her mother passed away. After losing her mother, Clara became a live-in nanny for some family friends - and it was during this job that she made an accidental phone call to a Time Lord in an ancient monastery, changing her life forever. Clara is compact - most of her friends probably have at least six inches on her, but she's deceptively strong and has a runner's calves. Really, it was basically a uniform. Her fashion sense has grown up with her, however, particularly after she transitioned from being a nanny to being a teacher. She's a nurturer and a carer, which makes her naturally great with kids. She'll step in front of a bullet for anyone she cares about - possibly a bit too willingly. POWERS *as of 12/14/15 SMOKE TRANSFORMATION/MANIPULATION Clara can dissolve into a thick, dark smoke that will sting your eyes and choke you, though it has no heat. While in this form she usually takes the shape of a raven. She can also manipulate existing smoke, directing it at people or out of her way, depending on the situation. FROZEN IN TIME This is more of a physiology than a power - due to being pulled out of her timeline just moments before her death, Clara is functionally frozen in time, between one heartbeat and the next. Her heart does not beat, her lungs do not need air, and and her cells are permanently in stasis. ENHANCED SENSES Clara has enhanced senses of smell, vision (including night vision), hearing, and taste.
